Hospital of Ceuta
The University Hospital of Ceuta, which began full operation in February 2010, has been built on an area of 30,000 square meters, of which 11,000 correspond to the building. An investment of 120 million euros has enabled Ceuta count today with a modern and functional center, top quality and the latest technology.
The University Hospital of Ceuta has 252 beds installed (compared to 163 the previous hospital governance), 25% of them in single rooms. The pediatric hospital has the ability to mother-father/son-daugter income, and has a playroom / nursery for children in hospital. All rooms have computer links, telephone, free single television, video and background music, and art electric beds.

The project was built for FCC (Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, S.A.) during 2007 and 2008.
Innovations
Among its main innovations, the hospital incorporates a hospital information system (HIS) that enables processing of all results of tests and treatments performed on patients. This allows the incorporation of this information into the electronic medical records of individuals, facilitating the achievement of a ‘paperless hospital’. In this line, the center also features Integrated Digital Imaging System, which facilitates immediately to physicians directly from their computers, test images like X-rays, CT or MRI.
