The refinery ” La Rabida ” became operational in 1967 in Palos de la Frontera (Huelva). Its production plants and port facilities allow you to store and distribute a wide range of products for various industries and consumers (gasoline, butane, propane, diesel, asphalt, etc.) . In addition to contributing to the development of the territory in which it operates , highlighted by the use of friendly technology environment.

It occupies an area of 2.4 million m2 and directly employs more than 800 people on fixed contracts , and a number much higher when taking into account ancillary businesses , as well as indirect employment generated by these industries in region.

The refinery has increased its capacity of middle distillates , which is , along with other projects , raising its total capacity to 9.5 million tonnes, increasing production of diesel and kerosene by 2 million tons , products of which Spain is deficient . The project to expand the capacity of middle distillates was launched in 2010 with an investment of more than 1,000 million euros. In the three years that lasted the project have been incorporated into the template 140 professionals . And it has required the support of over 200 contractors.
